Video: United fans will love this touching post-match moment between Willy Kambwala and Andre Onana

Willy Kambwala has become the latest prospect to progress out of Carrington into Manchester United’s first-team set-up.

The 19-year-old was granted his senior debut for the Reds’ away trip to face West Ham United on December 23, partnering veteran Jonny Evans – who is 16 years his senior – in Raphael Varane’s absence.

While, of course, United’s result was nothing short of dismal, Kambwala was praised by supporters for his display amidst the chaos of another defeat.

He made a second appearance on Boxing Day as United saw out the closing stages of their triumphant comeback against Aston Villa at Old Trafford, replacing Rasmus Hojlund in the 89th minute after he netted the crucial winning goal.

When the full-time whistle blew at Old Trafford, Kambwala was spotted running straight over to Andre Onana to celebrate the victory by embracing one another.
