Erik ten Hag is expected to make a number of changes to his Manchester United team to face Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

The Reds go into the game after losing 2-0 against West Ham at the weekend following two second half goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.

The defeat came as United’s 13th of the season and everyone knows it will be a difficult task to get three points today, especially with the form we’re bringing into the game.

Willy Kambwala was handed his debut against the Hammers due to Raphael Varane’s illness, but the 30-year-old is expected to return to the starting line-up tonight. Jonny Evans is expected to start too.

Diogo Dalot was suspended for the visit to the London Stadium after his dismissal at Anfield. He is likely to feature at right-back, with Luke Shaw on the opposite flank.

In midfield, Kobbie Mainoo should be given another start ahead of Sofyan Amrabrat. The youngster made a mistake against West Ham but his overall performance was impressive. That said, we may look to rely on Amrabat’s experience for this one.

Marcus Rashford is also expected to return to the line-up instead of Antony.

Predicted United XI: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Evans, Varane, Shaw; Amrabat, McTominay, Fernandes; Rashford, Hojlund, Garnacho.
