Manchester United are believed to be interested in Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo, as per Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The Japan international, formerly of both Barcelona and Real Madrid, is garnering interest following an impressive start to the term for Sociedad, scoring six goals and assisting a further four in all competitions thus far.
Meanwhile, the Reds’ top ‘scorer this season is defensive midfielder Scott McTominay, who has outscored every attacker with his six goals.
Ten Hag seeking a proven winger
Erik ten Hag is seemingly eyeing reinforcements to the right flank at Old Trafford and it’s evident why – Jadon Sancho is set to leave the club next month following his four-month expulsion from the first-team, while Antony has not scored or assisted once this campaign – his last contribution in the Premier League came against Wolverhampton Wanderers on May 13.
Alejandro Garnacho has shown more often than not his promising potential, and Amad Diallo is yet to be granted the chance to showcase his abilities under Ten Hag due to a long-term injury layoff.
Alas, a new winger could work wonders for the misfiring squad, and even provide the service Rasmus Hojlund is crying out for. Kubo, 22, is still incredibly young but has already proven he can provide the goods for a top club.
