Christian Eriksen included in Manchester United squad for West Ham clash

Erik ten Hag has been dealt some positive injury news with Christian Eriksen set to return to the squad for Saturday’s early kick-off away at West Ham.

The Manchester Evening News claims the Denmark international has been included in the squad to travel to West Ham after they departed for London this evening.

Eriksen has been out of action with a knee injury since the November international break, and it goes without saying that Ten Hag has missed his creative spark in the middle of the pitch.

Players confirmed in travelling squad: Onana, Bayindir, Wan-Bissaka, Reguilon, Evans, Amrabat, Eriksen, McTominay, Van de Beek, Pellistri, Garnacho, Antony, Rashford, Hojlund.

While Harry Maguire was spotted with the squad, the report adds that he the centre-back is expected to miss out on the trip to West Ham due to injury.

Those not spotted include Tom Heaton, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, Amad and Anthony Martial.

It goes without saying that United still have serious injury problems with key players like Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez yet to return, but it does help our midfield issues that Eriksen could be back as early as tomorrow.
