The midfielder’s time at Old Trafford will conclude in the summer of 2024, having signed on a season-long loan from Fiorentina on deadline day. He would then be available for £21 million if the Reds wanted to acquire his services long-term.
Amrabat, 27, has been on the end of heavy criticism from pundits and supporters after failing to make a notable impact in the starting 11, often being out-performed by 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo.
Amrabat to leave when loan spell expires
He has made seven Premier League starts thus far but when Casemiro returns from his injury layoff in the new year, the Moroccan’s game-time will likely become even more limited – especially given United’s early exits from the Carabao Cup and Europe.
Alas, it seems as though Amrabat has already had his chance to prove his abilities to Ten Hag – whom he played under at Utrecht – but it hasn’t been deemed enough to warrant a United contract, as the Dutch manager has already ‘made the decision’.
