Michael Oliver will referee Liverpool vs Manchester United in the Premier League.

There will be lots of extra pressure on the match officials this weekend when Manchester United travel to Merseyside for a 4.30pm kick-off on Sunday.

The Scousers will be trying to maintain their place at the top of the Premier League table by making it nine games unbeaten against United at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag’s side are enduring a difficult campaign after crashing out of Europe on Tuesday night, losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich.

The Premier League have confirmed that Oliver will be supported by Anthony Taylor as fourth official, while John Brooks is VAR and Simon Long his assistant.

Stuart Burt and Dan Cook are the assistant referees.

Hopefully, the officials let the game run a little and don’t become part of the headlines at full-time.

We know it’s at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp will be putting pressure on the officials to show their favouritism towards Liverpool.
