Manchester United have reportedly already opened talks with striker target Serhou Guirassy’s agent Moussa Sissoko, as per The Mirror.
The Red Devils face competition from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United in pursuit of the prolific frontman, who is being heavily tipped for a January exit from Stuttgart.
Having already notched a remarkable 18 goals and two assists in 14 appearances, the Bundesliga outfit could come to regret including a £15 million release clause in Guirassy’s contract terms.
Reds ignite pursuit of in-demand striker
United are seemingly trying to poke their noses in front of their rivals in the race for the 27-year-old and have spoken with his agent to try and hash out an agreement for a deal. Next, the board will open dialogue with Guirassy directly in hopes of sealing personal terms, making the transfer as swift as possible when the window opens.
Speculation suggests that Erik ten Hag is keen to ease the goalscoring burden on young Rasmus Hojlund who, despite netting five times in the Champions League group stage, is yet to get off the mark in the Premier League after his first 12 games.
