Furthermore, United were without forward duo Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford for the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich due to illness, while Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire sustained knocks in the first half to cast doubt on their availability.
According to ManUtd.com, the pair will continue to be assessed after being withdrawn at Old Trafford. We can also expect Ten Hag to provide a further update at Friday afternoon’s press conference.
Victor Lindelof returned to training in the lead up to the European tie but was unavailable for that game, but Raphael Varane was recalled to the back four. Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro continue to go through their recovery process and we might get some news on either Christian Eriksen or Mason Mount.
