Manchester United have had injury problems all season but the list of players in the treatment room is growing ahead of Sunday’s trip to Liverpool in the Premier League.
There is never an ideal time to be without key players when you are in charge of United. Ten Hag had a host of injury concerns to contend with before Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw were forced off with muscular injuries against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
United were knocked out of the Champions League after losing 1-0 to the Bundesliga champions. A second half goal from Kingsley Coman was enough to separate the teams as Bayern coasted through the 90 minutes.
In recent weeks we welcomed back Shaw from a long-term absence, but the injury problems at Carrington are stacking up again. The left-back is the latest player to join the list of doubts for Liverpool away on Sunday.
United will also be without Bruno Fernandes after his fifth booking of the Premier League season came last time out in the embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Erik ten Hag will address the media on Friday afternoon when he is expected to give an update on Maguire, Shaw and other players. Hopefully there will be some good news for the Reds.
