Rasmus Hojlund will be looking to add to his five-goal Champions League tally on Tuesday evening when Manchester United take on Bayern Munich in their final group-stage fixture.

In the opening five matches of the competition, Hojlund has netted two braces against Galatasaray and Copenhagen respectively, as well as his maiden Red Devils goal against Bayern on September 20.

The 20-year-old will be hoping that all his strenuous graft won’t end up in vain should United exit the competition so early tomorrow. They’ve claimed just four points thus far, which has consequently taken their last-16 fate out of their hands; even if the Reds overturn the Germans, Galatasaray and Copenhagen’s game must end in a draw to see Erik ten Hag and his men qualify.

Of course, a third-placed finish would see them drop to the Europa League, though there are mixed opinions on whether that would benefit the side after such a problematic and injury-plagued start to the campaign.

Hojlund prepared to make a statement vs Bayern

With the team undergoing their final preparations at Carrington, Hojlund took to Instagram to share a snap of himself in training, simply captioned: “Ready! @championsleague”.
