Manchester United pair miss training due to illness ahead of Bayern Munich match

Erik ten Hag has had a busy afternoon from addressing the media to preparing his Manchester United team to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

We’ve had the early team news and now there are updates from the open training session at Carrington.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were two absentees due to illness, as per ManUtd.com, but they were just added to already long list of unavailable players.

Ten Hag told reporters that Victor Lindelof was a doubt for the game after missing Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth with a knock. However, the Swede was fit enough to train with the group which is positive news for the manager.

Long-term absentee Lisandro Martinez joined in for the first part of training before resuming his individual recovery programme.

Goalkeepers: Onana, Bayindir, Heaton, Vitek, Plumley, Mee.

Defenders: Varane, Evans, McTominay, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, Shaw, Lindelof, Dalot, Reguilon.

Midfielders: Amrabat, Van de Beek, Hannibal, Fernandes, Mainoo, Gore.

Attackers: Hojlund, Antony, Garnacho, Amad, Pellistri.

Martinez trained away from the group for the most part.
