‘It’s the dream’: Bayern starlet relishing Old Trafford UCL contest; expects United to be ‘up for it’

Jamal Musiala

Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala is one of several players who could wreak havoc on Manchester United’s backline tomorrow evening.

The Red Devils are undergoing their final preparations ahead of their last remaining Champions League group-stage match. Having picked up just four points from their opening five matches of the competition, their fate for the last-16 is out of their hands.

Meanwhile, Bayern boast a 39-game group-stage unbeaten streak heading into the Old Trafford contest and after overseeing a goalless stalemate last time out in Europe – which ended a 17-game winning run – they’ll be looking to make amends and assert their dominance with a convincing win away from their home comforts.

Former Three Lions youth international Musiala will be well aware of his surroundings though; he represented Chelsea for eight years at youth level before signing for the German giants in 2019. Similarly, Harry Kane will return home to England for the first time since his widely-covered Tottenham Hotspur exit in the summer, which came after months – if not years – of being linked with a potential move to the Reds.

Musiala relishing chance to play at Old Trafford

Speaking ahead of the match in M16, Musiala told the press (via Fabrizio Romano): “It’s the dream of many kids to play here. When I was younger I always enjoyed watching games at Old Trafford.

“I think the atmosphere will be great. Man United will be up for it tomorrow and they definitely have quality”.
