Manchester United flight cancelled ahead of Newcastle clash

Manchester United’s preparations for Saturday night’s Premier League clash against Newcastle have suffered a setback after their flight to the north-east was cancelled.

The Reds are looking to get back to winning ways after drawing 3-3 with Galatasaray on Wednesday night, although our form in the Premier League improved drastically oved the past month – winning four or our last six matches in the top flight.

With a trip to Newcastle on the cards, United were expecting to travel via plane but they face a 3+ hour coach journey to Tyneside instead.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United were scheduled to board a flight at Manchester Airport at 11am, only to be told it has been cancelled due to the weather and technical difficulties.

It is bitterly cold in Manchester and it’s likely to be the same in Newcastle tonight. Unlike the midweek game against Galatasaray, we are not hearing anything about the game being called off due to weather but it makes sense not to risk getting on a plane.

Both teams go into the game with an array of injury problems, but that excuse won’t be enough for whoever misses the opportunity to take all three points.
