Manchester United trio Alejandro Garnacho, Harry Maguire and Andre Onana are all up for separate Premier League awards in November.
Alejandro Garnacho’s acrobatic finish against Everton last Sunday will be a contender for goal of the season. That’s why we are not one bit surprised to see it nominated for November’s Premier League Goal of the Month award.
The 19-year-old, who scored again last night against Galatasaray, put United into an early lead at Goodison Park with a stunning overhead kick.
Considering the goal will likely win the Goal of the Season award, Garnacho’s strike against the Toffees should walk the Goal of the Month accolade.
Garnacho is up against eight other contenders for goal of the month. They include:
- Mohammed Kudus vs Brentford
- Cameron Archer vs Wolves
- Pablo Sarabia vs Tottenham
- Oleksandr Zinchenko vs Burnley
- Simon Adingra vs Sheffield United
- Raheem Sterling vs Newcastle United
- Michael Olise vs Luton Town
- Alejandro Garnacho vs Everton
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award. United didn’t concede a goal in November as they beat Fulham, Luton Town and Everton.
Another United player up for an award is goalkeeper Andre Onana. The Cameroon international is a nominee for Save of the Month after his to deny Luton’s Carlton Morris.
Onana didn’t coat himself in glory last night in the Champions League, but there’s no denying his form in the Premier League has improved.
