Erik ten Hag has been nominated for November’s Manager of the Month award in the Premier League.
Manchester United won all three of their top-flight games during November and managed not to concede a single goal. That makes us the division’s in-form side, with five wins from the last six matches in the competition.
In November, Erik ten Hag watched his side beat Fulham, Luton Town and Everton – but he will be fully aware of the fact that our fixtures will be more challenging in December.
The results over the past month see United sit sixth in the league after 13 matches, with either wins and five defeats. As bad as that sounds, we’re just six points behind league leaders Arsenal.
Ten Hag has already won the Manager of the Month award twice – in September 2022 and February 2023.
The Dutchman is up against three other Premier League managers and none of them went the month unbeaten, without conceding a goal. They include Luton Town’s Rob Edwards, Newcastle’s Eddie Howe and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola.
Next up for United is a trip to Newcastle on Saturday night. Ten Hag will demand that his team continue their winning run in the league.
