Manchester United defender could make long-awaited return vs Everton

Speculation is growing that Luke Shaw could return for Manchester United against Everton this weekend.

That would could as a huge relief because Shaw has been such a big loss at left-back this season.

Erik ten Hag has had a depleted defence since the beginning of the campaign, and I’d argue Shaw has been one of the biggest losses alongside Lisandro Martinez.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Shaw could finally be available to play against the Toffees on Sunday, when the Premier League season resumes after the November international break.

The return of Shaw in the line-up will be enough to put a smile on United fans’ faces. He has not played since the second game of the season, which ended in a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at the end of August.

Shaw sustained a muscular injury during the game and had to be forced off.

Meanwhile, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has recovered from a bout of illness and is expected to return to his favoured right-back role after missing the win over Luton Town.
