Fluminense midfielder André has been linked with a move to Fulham and Manchester United in recent months.
There was more talk of a move to United during the November international break and the Brazilian was asked specifically about the links.
André said he was unaware of United’s interest but he likes to hear that big clubs in Europe are talking about him.
According to FootballTransfers, Fulham have ‘moved ahead’ of United in the race to sign Andre which may suggest that the Red Devils aren’t prioritising a pursuit for the 22-year-old Copa Libratadores winner.
Some reports have suggested that United targeted André as a potential replacement for fellow Brazillian Casemiro, who is currently out injured for the remainder of the year.
Whether it’s André or someone else, United need to watching the midfield market to ensure they don’t miss out on the next best thing. Monitoring the South American market is a good place to start.
We’ll keep an eye on the Andre links even if it looks like Fulham are leading the race for his signature right now.
