Chris Smalling has been enjoying life in Serie A since leaving Manchester United, but the England international could be on the move yet again.

Smalling could be the latest former United player to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

Other Roma players linked with moves to Saudi Arabia include Leonardo Spinazzola and Paulo Dybala.

He has been at Roma since 2019, having left United initially on loan, but that move was made permanent the following year. United received close to £20m for his signature.

Smalling went on to win the 2022 Europa Conference League with the Italian outfit.

Now 33, Smalling could be on the move to Saudi Arabia where he could link up with several star names, including Ronaldo.

He has lost his place in the team after being sidelined with tendonitis in his knee for the past three months, so it’s probably a good time for him to move on with his career for one last big pay day.

Smalling has already missed 13 games this season and there’s been no date for his return just yet.
