Manchester United could reportedly use Anthony Martial in a part-exchange offer for Paris Saint-Germain’s Nordi Mukiele, as per the Daily Express.

The forward has fallen behind Rasmus Hojlund in the pecking order at Old Trafford this term and has made just four starts in total; two of which came in the Premier League.

Martial has featured for a mere 396 minutes, contributing one goal in that time during a Carabao Cup clash vs Crystal Palace.

Reports suggest that United are unwilling to extend his contract ahead of its expiration at the end of the campaign, meaning he will be allowed to speak to foreign clubs in January. With that in mind, the Ligue 1 giants have seemingly registered their interest in a deal for the out-of-favour Frenchman.

United could reignite Mukiele interest

Meanwhile, the Red Devils will be looking to add a defender to their squad in the winter after injuries have plagued their backline in recent months. Mukiele, 26, was of interest to United in previous windows but a transfer has ultimately failed to materialise in the past.

Mukiele faces a similar situation to Martial in terms of game time, as he has made just five appearances in the league thus far – only two as a starter.
