Erik ten Hag was forced into three changes from Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Fulham, as the club saw out a much-needed victory against Luton Town on Saturday.

As the Red Devils’ injury crisis continues, Jonny Evans became the latest name to be added to the list when he was ruled out for three to four weeks after sustaining an issue against Copenhagen midweek.

Marcus Rashford recovered from his setback to start yesterday, while Sergio Reguilon was named in the 11 in Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s absence, with fans wondering whether the right-back had picked up another knock, having only just recovered from a hamstring injury.

However, it was soon confirmed that Wan-Bissaka was ill, so he will get the time he needs to rest and recover over the international break.

During the match, concerns were raised when Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund were withdrawn early due to injuries; the former appeared to twist his knee and was unable to continue, while the striker went down twice clutching his hamstring before eventually being replaced by Anthony Martial.

Ten Hag said following the full-time whistle that the Danish duo will need to be assessed so the club can learn the extent of their issues.
