Erik ten Hag will be absent from the touchline for Manchester United’s next Premier League game against Everton on November 26.

The Red Devils clinched a crucial three points over Luton Town yesterday thanks to Victor Lindelof’s second-half strike, which rounded off back-to-back league wins for United – as well as a fourth win in five games.

After the midweek miseries of a third Champions League defeat, reigning victorious against the Hatters was pivotal. It’s been incredibly difficult for the team to maintain any sort of positive form this season, but fans will be hoping it’s on the way now that they’ve got a few key wins in the bag.

Ten Hag to serve one-game ban

When United return to action following the November break, the squad will have to manage without Ten Hag shouting in-game orders from the touchline when they take on the Toffees at Goodison Park. This is due to the fact that the Dutchman was shown a yellow card by Graham Scott; his third of the season after also earning one for his protests in the losses against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Still, Ten Hag has assured that his assistants, Steve McClaren and Mitchell van der Gaag, will do just as good a job coaching the players in his absence. He said, via AP“We have a very competent coaching staff and they will take over.”
