Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was left fuming by Man City kitchen staff after being presented with a blue birthday cake at the Etihad Stadium.
Ferdinand was covering the Champions League for TNT Sports when he was at the Etihad to watch Man City’s 3-0 win over Young Boys.
It must be difficult – for anyone connected to United – to work on City games because they breeze past teams, while we struggle against the lesser teams like Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
But imagine doing it on your birthday and being presented with a blue cake? That is what Ferdinand had to experience last night.
City saw an opportunity to troll Ferdinand, and produced a sky blue birthday cake. It had a picture of the former England defender holding the Premier League trophy, along with City crests.
TNT Sports presented Laura Woods wasted no time by giving the cake a taste test.
There are a few important birthdays to celebrate at the Etihad Stadium tonight 🥳
…although we're not too sure @rioferdy5 is impressed with the decoration on his cake 🎂🤣@laura_woodsy | @JoleonLescott | @julesbreach | @allysbears pic.twitter.com/L72EnBMkSN

In the Manchester rain, the cake began to slide off the table, but a club employee saved it from hitting the floor.
Ferdinand, who faced City 27 times throughout his career, was heard shouting: “Let it hit the floor!”
