Marcus Rashford’s brother, Dane, appeared in court in Miami last month.
The director of DN May Sports Management has been arrested in the United States on a charge of domestic violence, as per the Telegraph.
Dane Rashford was arrested on October 20 in Miami Beach, Florida, and he initially appeared in court the following day with a bond for his release was set at $1,500.
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is listed as one Dane’s clients, although their brother Dwaine manages the England international after contributing to his recent long-term contract at Old Trafford.
The negative publicity seems to be following Rashford everywhere at the moment. He was unlucky to be sent off against Copenhagen tonight, but he was also lambasted by sections of the media for going to a nightclub to celebrate his birthday after the Manchester derby defeat.
However, to make matters worse on the family, Dane was pictured in official police arrest photographs and has been issued by the court in Florida with a pre-trail “stay away order” allegedly permitting no contact.
It is important to note that Dane has pleaded not guilty and will face a further court hearing on November 27.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Daysi Vega-Mendez, assistant state prosecutor for Miami Dade County sad: “The case is still active, at the moment I haven’t been able to get hold of the victim. Our office is trying to get hold of the UK Embassy because we need permission to speak to the victim.
“I am not sure whether they are still in the United States or if they have left the country. I understand they were on vacation. Technically once you are charged you are not supposed to leave the country. When a person is given a bond if they leave, they surrender that bond.
“At the moment the case is still active and listed for an arraignment hearing on Nov 27.”
