(Video) Harry Maguire fumes at referee after disallowed goal vs Fulham

Harry Maguire was fuming at referee John Brooks after a Manchester United goal against Fulham was disallowed.

The Reds travelled to Craven Cottage on Saturday before getting back to winning ways with a 1-0 win thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Bruno Fernandes.

However, after just eight minutes, it felt like it was one of those days that everything would go against United. Scott McTominay found the back of the net from close range but a lengthy review followed after Maguire was adjudged to have impeded a Fulham defender from an offside position.

It was a baffling call from VAR – to disallow the goal – because Maguire didn’t touch the ball.

A clip has gone viral online showing Maguire air his frustration with the referee.

Unfortunately, Maguire’s sentiments fell on deaf ears because the goal was ruled out. That led to a battle between the two teams for the remainder of the match, taking 91 minutes for the only goal to be scored.

United’s win means we remain 8th in the league table, but next up is a trip to Copenhagen in the Champions League.

Maguire in solid form

Maguire gets his share of criticism, but his form of late has been terrific.

It’s no wonder the England international has started the last 6 games for United, with Jonny Evans seemingly the preferred choice to partner him at the back. That meant World Cup-winner Raphael Varane was overlooked at the weekend.

This form will help Maguire’s confidence and less people seem to be talking about his uncertain future at Old Trafford.
