Reports from certain newspapers suggest leaks are coming from the Manchester United dressing room. These stories rarely make for positive reading with the latest claims strongly suggesting Erik ten Hag is losing members of the dressing room.

It is believed that some players have an issue with the manager’s abrupt approach. In turn, Ten Hag is being accused of affecting squad harmony.

According to the Daily Mail, figures within the United squad believe Ten Hag’s handling of certain individuals has had a negative impact on team togetherness.

This comes after Jadon Sancho was exiled from United’s squad after a public spat with the manager. That alone suggests that the leaks may be coming from those close to the England international.

However, United have had a terrible start to the 2023/24 season which doesn’t help.

We are currently sat eight in the Premier League after losing five of our opening 10 matches. Furthermore, qualifying for the Champions League knockout phase won’t be an easy task after winning just one of our first three matches in the group stages.

Former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was criticised for being too soft and now our players have an issue with Ten Hag as a disciplinarian.

It sounds like more excuses from players happy to shift the responsibility elsewhere.

  1. Ten Hag has shown he is out of his depth. We need a manager with leadership skills who will inspire the players. Michael Carrick was a star on the field with a superb understanding of the game and ManU flows through his veins.
