Manchester United trail 2-0 to Newcastle United at the break after a dismal showing in the first half at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils were looking to bounce back from their humiliating Manchester derby loss last Sunday but instead have come out with yet another lacklustre and soulless display, which has given them a mountain to climb after the interval if they want to progress to the quarter-finals.

Miguel Almiron netted the opener in the 28th minute and it’s safe to say that Diogo Dalot played a helping hand in the build-up; he jogged nonchalantly back to his own goal, failing to track his man, who then had a clear path through to find the back of the net.

Newcastle then doubled their lead just eight minutes later through Lewis Hall.

Antony furious at Dalot

Samuel Luckhurst reported that the Portugal star has been berated by his fellow teammate, Antony, twice now, and that the United faithful have also voiced their frustrations with Anthony Martial.

Changes must be made by Erik ten Hag.
