Manchester United today announced financial results for the 2023 fiscal fourth quarter.

The club reported a Premier League record revenue figure of £648.4 million for the year ending June 30, as per Yahoo Sports. That represents a 11% increase from the previous year and beats the previous league record set by United in 2019.

United also predict that revenue for the 2023/24 period will be somewhere between £650m-£680m. The Glazers did not take a dividend, whereas for the year up to June 30 2022, United paid £33.6m out in dividends.

However since then, no dividend has been paid to the Glazer family.

Meanwhile, the debt hanging over the club remains £538.2m.

Today’s announcement comes at a time when British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly closely to buying a 25% stake in the club.

A report by Bloomberg claims Ratcliffe plans to acquire a stake in United through his own personal wealth rather than using company funds.

Only time will tell but having the Glazers at United will never be a good thing. Ratcliffe needs to eventually get them out if his bid proves successful.
