Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans to bring former Juventus chief to Manchester United

Talks are ongoing between Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s camp, Raine Group and the Glazer family.

Ineos know Manchester United have underperformed over the last decade, but that is something they believe can be fixed with a better football structure.

Every man and his dog knows that the current structure is miles behind. It wasn’t long ago that the club was being led by Ed Woodward, a banker, who was later replaced by Richard Arnold.

Football director John Murtough is another individual that can count himself very lucky. He knows that at any other top club he wouldn’t get a senior role.

Jobs for the lads?

Ineos feel they can improve all of this by hiring experts in each sporting position. That is why we’ve been linked with the likes of Paul Mitchell, formerly of AS Monaco.

Sir David Brailsford has long been touted as someone who would follow Ratcliffe to United, but The Independent claims former Juventus chief executive Jean-Claude Blanc will have the primary influence over sporting strategy.

That means Blanc could be in charge of hiring key personnel if Ratcliffe wants to replace the likes of Richard Arnold and John Murtough.

The report also adds that Ratcliffe/Ineos coming into United should’t be a concern for current manager Erik ten Hag since they previously saw him as a potential manager for their other club, Nice.

  1. That’s all crap, ManUtd don’t need a Juve coach but a brand new Old Trafford for about £1.5 billion and new training facilities plus a heavy investment in top class players. I am not sure what his £1.3billion contribution is going to achieve there.

    1. Thank you so much George. He is going to be involved with a pure intentions of making money just like the Glazers. It will be so difficult for him to change the football side. He might try hard cos he knows if he improve something he is going to keep making money. The Fans (us) will have to keep being disappointed in the process. I urge(specially middle east and china, that’s where most of the money comes for these greedy ppl)the fans to stop giving in , stop buying tickets, shirts and any gadgets. Then they will sell it to the right buyers.

  2. You guys alright? Ineos want to bring in people who know what they’re doing? What’s not to like?
