Marcus Rashford shares touching throwback picture while paying tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton

Tributes have continued to pour in for one of football’s greatest and most influential figures, Sir Bobby Charlton.

Manchester United and England players have led the tributes for an icon who led both his club and national team to unprecedented glory, winning both the European Cup and the 1966 World Cup.

Charlton had a direct involvement in David Beckham’s career blossoming, having recommended him to United after seeing the youngster in action at his football camp.

But aside from Becks, the amount of players we see today that Charlton would’ve inspired to pick up a football and get on a pitch is countless. His legacy will live on forever.

Rashford shares heartfelt tribute

Marcus Rashford, someone who knows what it means to be United through and through, shared a picture following yesterday’s game of himself signing his first-ever professional contract with the Reds.

As he proudly put pen to paper on a deal with his boyhood club, he was joined by Sir Bobby to commemorate the occasion. He shared the snap to Instagram along with the caption: “I signed my first professional contract at Man Utd with Sir Bobby. Thank you for all the support and advice that you provided to me. That win was for you and your family.”
