Manchester United are one of the teams to have registered interest in Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey, according to reports.
Erik ten Hag is light in a number of areas but full-back has been a position of high concern this season, with injuries mounting up for the Dutchman.
All three of his senior left-backs have been injured recently, meaning Diogo Dalot was forced to play on the left-hand side. That was until Aaron Wan-Bissaka joined his fellow defenders on the sidelines, leaving Ten Hag with just one fit senior full-back.
Signing a right-back was said to be on the agenda this summer but a move never materialised and with Wan-Bissaka’s future being increasingly uncertain as time goes on, the club may decide to enter the market for a replacement.
Now, the Reds have been linked with a move for Galatasaray right-back Boey, who is said to be attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
That’s according to Turkish outlet Fotospor, who say that Arsenal, Brighton and Burnley have all sent scouts to watch the young Frenchman amid their interest.
As per the report, scouts from those teams are said to have been in attendance to watch him this weekend and there were also representatives from clubs in Spain, Italy and France. Boey was part of the side that defeated United at Old Trafford earlier this month in the Champions League.
Boey is under contract at the Turkish giants for another two years and is valued at €17m by statistical website Transfermarkt, making him a cheap option for Ten Hag if he decides to bolster his right-back options.
