Erik ten Hag has assured that the morale in Manchester United’s dressing room is significantly higher after the Brentford triumph.

The Red Devils clinched all three points against the Bees in injury time thanks to a brace from Scott McTominay. Old Trafford erupted when the winner went in and the unity between the players and fans felt unbreakable, which was much-needed after the team’s start to the season.

Now, it’s time to build on the win and use that momentum to ignite a positive run of form in the coming weeks. Premier League action returns tomorrow evening against Sheffield United before the Reds will be seeking their first Champions League win versus Copenhagen on Tuesday.

Ten Hag on squad morale

“You can’t restart but what you can do is… what you see is there is a strong dressing room,” Ten Hag said in today’s pre-match press conference. “They are aligned, on one page, they are so determined and willing to win games, that is what we have seen in the last couple of mins.

“In the end, we beat them and physically we were very strong, mentally, we kept going and were very strong.”
