(Video) Heckingbottom gives honest verdict on out-of-form Manchester United

Paul Heckingbottom is preparing his side to face Manchester United at Bramall Lane this Saturday, October 21.

Sheffield United are winless in their return to the top flight this term, after securing automatic promotion via a second-placed finish last season.

They have sustained seven losses and one draw in their opening eight games, with their only point coming through a 2-2 draw with Everton at home in September.

On the other hand, the Red Devils have overseen their worst start to a campaign in 34 years; Erik ten Hag has managed four losses and four wins thus far, leaving the 20-time champions 10th-placed in the table.

Despite their poor form, Heckingbottom is well aware of the threat that United poses and knows his side must be up to the challenge if they want to take anything from this weekend’s clash.

Heckingbottom gives United verdict

“I don’t know how much anyone has seen of them they can be difficult to live with,” the Blades boss said. “I have seen teams thinking they have got the better of them and then a moment of genius has won them the game.”

“We have to prepare for a long game, tough game they have so many players who in one moment can create an opportunity to score a goal.”
