Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker slammed Mark Goldbridge during the weekend, labelling the YouTuber a “problem” in a damning assessment in the wake of the club’s takeover saga.
Parker, who earned 19 caps for England, played for Manchester United between 1991 and 1996. He often shares his views on the club and never holds back from saying what he thinks.
“I don’t like what Mark Goldbridge is doing,” Parker told BonusCodeBets, as quoted by Football365. “It’s a problem. Everyone has to make a living but you have to be very, very thick skinned to make money off the back of something you don’t like.
“He has no relationship to Man United, he is a Nottingham Forest fan. It’s an incredible skill to do that, actually… To make money on the back of something you don’t like.
“He is attacking the club, the manager and the owners of a football club that you don’t even love. He has no inner feeling with the club and it’s a scary but incredible feeling to have to be that invested in a club that you don’t support.”
Parker added: “But that’s also what Man United are about. It’s a club with a massive story and it’s a story that everyone tries to tap into and be a part of. A lot of people are making money because of Man United but it’s madness. One, they don’t support Man United and to be honest, two, they don’t even like football.
“But it’s a club that everyone wants to talk about and somehow it’s possible to make money from it despite not having a relationship to the club.”
We have long documented the problems that exist with some fan channels (AFTV, The United Stand, etc) and it comes as no surprise that Goldbridge has come out this morning playing the violin in response. All in attempt to make more out of the story and bring more attention to his YouTube channel.
When it comes to ‘Mark’, how can people trust a man that doesn’t go by his real name? He isn’t a rapper like 50 Cent to Tupac. This is someone posing as a Manchester United that openly pushed for state ownership.
However, Goldbridge says he is disappointed by recent criticism from Parker.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Goldbridge said: “I’ve had so many people this week contact me about this article that Paul Parker did with some company, saying that I’m one of the biggest problems at Manchester United, that I don’t even support the club, that I’m a Nottingham Forest fan.
“I find it really disappointing, because I’ve done content with Paul in the past and I actually liked him when he played for England and Manchester United, I’ve met him.
“I just feel that these sort of comments are really sad and ill-advised because one, they’re not true, and when you’re saying things that are not true about people, you’ve got to be very, very careful what you’re doing.
“Secondly, Manchester United are going through one of the biggest things in their history, recent history, Premier League history, since 2005, we were about to get purchased by somebody.
“There are numerous big topics to discuss about that. And apparently I, as a YouTube influencer or whatever he called me, is a big problem.
“I want a full sale, I want the Glazers out, I fully back this manager, I think there are certain players that need to be sold who are holding the club back.
“If that’s what Paul Parker thinks is a problem, then I think Paul Parker is a problem.”

Forest fan, is he? Didn’t know that, but explains why whenever he’s quoted ( don’t watch his channel ) it’s something negative.
If he attends O.T. I bet he boos Maguire, and didn’t he want Rashford sold?
Yah: United through and through. Stands out a mile, really.
