Bruno Fernandes scores and assists to round off another five-star Portugal display

Bruno Fernandes picked up two goal contributions again for Portugal on Monday evening after tallying two assists last time out.

The Manchester United captain helped his nation on their way to a 5-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, with all five goals coming in the first half of the Euro 2024 qualifier.

Portugal have already booked their spot at next year’s tournament in Germany, so can enjoy their remaining matches with no pressure mounted on their shoulders.

Fernandes delivers on Portugal duty

The side were still looking to oversee a dominant performance throughout the evening though, and Fernandes did his bit when he netted a superb goal in the 25th minute to make it 3-0 following a Cristiano Ronaldo brace.

Rumoured United target Goncalo Inacio delivered an inch-perfect over-the-top pass, which was chested down and struck sweetly past the goalkeeper by Fernandes.

Moments before half-time, the midfielder set up Barcelona’s Joao Felix by displaying some clever footwork before firing a low pass into the box.
