West Ham United could reportedly reignite their interest in Harry Maguire if Kurt Zouma leaves the club, as per 90min

The Irons had a £30 million bid accepted for the former Manchester United captain in the summer but the transfer ultimately failed to materialise.

Zouma, 28, has played a crucial role at the heart of David Moyes’ backline since making the switch from Chelsea in 2021 but has decisions to make on his future amid apparent interest from the Saudi Pro League. His contract runs until 2025, so West Ham may be looking at opening talks to secure his future at the London Stadium.

Maguire makes game-time admission

Meanwhile, Maguire has admitted this week that his situation at United cannot go on forever. He has been granted just two starts in total this season – one in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup – and has made a further two appearances off the bench. He has yet to feature in any Champions League action.

Speaking to the media while on international duty, the 30-year-old confessed: “I am not going to sit here all my life and play once a month. If it carries on I am sure myself and the club will sit down and have a chat about things.”

A move to the Hammers would undoubtedly see the England international given a more significant role in the team and frequent game time week in, week out.
