Newcastle United will be backed by a sold-out away end when they take on Manchester United in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
The Magpies knocked out Man City in the previous round, but they await a repeat of last season’s final when they travel to Old Trafford on Wednesday, November 1.
However, the cup clash has attracted criticism from the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST).
£39 for @ManUtd away in the @Carabao_Cup is scandalous and makes a mockery of the £30 @premierleague away ticket price cap.
Add in a ridiculous kick off time – match going fans taken for granted time and time again. #nufc

The match kicks off at a later time of 8:15pm – meaning supporters can’t return to the North East via public transport on the night. Furthermore, they are complaining about adult tickets costing £39. That’s a £9 increase on what United charged for the previous round when they beat Palace.
🙌 Backed by more than 7,000 Geordies at Old Trafford!
Tickets for #NUFC's Carabao Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United have sold out.
Thank you for your incredible support. 👏

Despite these concerns, Newcastle have sold out the 7,000 allocation.
