Sofyan Amrabat drops hint on social media he could make Manchester United debut vs Burnley

Manchester United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has hinted that he could make his debut against Burnley tonight with a post on social media.

Amrabat joined United on deadline day from Fiorentina, on a season-long loan as Erik ten Hag looked to add to his options in the midfield department.

It has been clear this season that Casemiro needs someone with more legs than Christian Eriksen to play alongside him, and Amrabat is more defensive-minded than fellow new signing Mason Mount, who has also been missing recently due to injury.

Amrabat has been unable to make it onto the pitch as of yet due to a back injury, but Ten Hag said on Friday that there was a chance he would feature at Turf Moor.

The Moroccan took to Instagram earlier on Saturday with a graphic of himself wearing the United away kit on his story along with details about tonight’s 8pm kick-off.

It goes without saying that having Amrabat available would be a big boost for Ten Hag, who must be running out of patience with a few of the other players at the moment.

United are looking fragile in midfield and other teams have been able to get at us far too easily.
