Jadon Sancho still in exile at Manchester United

The feud between Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho still exists.

The Manchester United winger is in exile as he continues to train alone at Carrington. This has been the case ever since Sancho challenged the manager with a statement on social media.

It has been long understood that Ten Hag has no interest in dealing with Sancho again unless the player apologises, therefore, he has not been involved in team training since.

That ultimately means his career is up in the air at Old Trafford and there’s likely to be speculation over a transfer in January. And, I don’t think United will be standing in his way.

Speaking to reporters this afternoon, Ten Hag said (via Sky Sports): “It depends on him. For the rest, we are preparing for Burnley and that’s our focus. He will not be in the squad.”

Even though United were without 10 players due to injury for Wednesday’s Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, Ten Hag cannot let underperforming players like Sancho walk all over him.

It’s interesting that so many leaks have appeared in the dressing room since then. The latest to hit the newspapers is that a number of players were unhappy with how Ten Hag let David de Gea go.

So, even if we think Ten Hag is right to axe Sancho until he apologises for acting the brat, it may be the case that the decision has not gone down too well in the dressing room.
