(Video) Erik ten Hag says United had to leave Germany with at least a point after scoring three goals

Erik ten Hag was understandably disgruntled after Manchester United tasted defeat in their Champions League opener.

The Red Devils scored three goals to Bayern Munich’s four, meaning they left Germany with no points on the board in Group A.

United’s contributions came from Rasmus Hojlund, which marked his first-ever goal as a Red, and Casemiro, who netted a late brace to try and secure something out of the tie.

However, the dominant Bavarians continued their scintillating group-stage form, so United will be hoping they can turn the tide when Bayern visit Old Trafford in December.

Post-match, Ten Hag told MUTV: “I’m very disappointed. When you score three goals in Munich, you have to at least take a point, and so we didn’t because the goals [Bayern’s] were easy giveaways.”
