(Video) Casemiro nets two late goals but United fall short at the Allianz

Casemiro found the back of the net twice at the Allianz Arena to try and inspire a late comeback vs. Bayern Munich.

However, the Germans outscored the Red Devils by four goals to three by the full-time whistle, with Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, Harry Kane and Mathys Tel all on the scoresheet for their side.

Meanwhile, Rasmus Hojlund netted his first-ever United goal in the 49th minute and Casemiro netted a late brace, though it still wasn’t enough to secure the victory.

It marks a third consecutive loss for United. They return to Premier League action this Saturday with an away trip to face Burnley.

  1. You know what? I’m bloody delighted by tonight’s showing. I feared we’d get mullered, but w/o incompetent officials and yet another Onana f.up ( keep telling me he’s better than De Gea), we’d have won 3-2. Yeah, it’s another loss, but in my far-from-humble opinion that’s going to do a power of good to morale, toe to toe with BM, and by no means disgraced. We might even beat the mighty Burnley.
