Sunderland are weighing up a January loan offer for Manchester United academy striker Joe Hugill.
That is according to journalist Alan Nixon (£), with the striker currently featuring as a regular at U21 level at United.
United initially signed Hugill as a 16-year-old from Sunderland in 2020, but he could now (19) return on loan in a bid to give him a taste of senior football.
The last player to go to Sunderland on loan was Amad Diallo was he was a big success at the Stadium of Light.
I think it would be a beneficial move for the young striker. We have nothing to lose from it.
