Manchester United’s poor start to the season was extended on Saturday afternoon as they fell to a fourth consecutive Premier League defeat to Brighton, with the south coast club now recording a win against the Reds in each of the last three seasons.
United have just six points from the first five games and are now off to a worse start than last season and Erik ten Hag will be worried by some of the things he has seen in the first month of action.
The Old Trafford faithful were treated to a brilliant start to the game, with United looking dangerous with each attack in the first 20 minutes. They were unlucky not to take the lead.
But when Brighton scored roughly halfway through the first half, the game completely changed and the visitors ran out deserved winners in the end.

Continuing to struggle this season. Hard to tell if it’s him or the lack of structure around him.

Definitely added a bit of steel and legs to the midfield.

United’s most creative spark in the final third.

Did well more than he didn’t.
Marcus Rashford – 6
Unlucky not to score at least one goal today.
Rasmus Hojlund – 8
Almost the perfect debut for the Danish international but his second-half equaliser was ruled out by the VAR. Unlucky.
