Scott McTominay has shared a message of support for Harry Maguire.

It seems that every time Maguire takes to the pitch these days, the media create a circus around the situation. No wonder his mum, Zoe, came out criticising pundits and abusive fans.

Maguire came under more pressure on Tuesday night when he came on half-time for England for their 3-1 win over Scotland.

The fans at Hampden Park jeered Maguire’s every touch and they had a field day when he kicked the ball into his own net past Aaron Ramsdale, who has come out in Maguire’s defence along with Gareth Southgate.

Manchester United midfielder and Scotland international Scott McTominay has now shared his support on Instagram.

McTominay shared a picture of the pair from Tuesday’s game with a fist pump and love heart.

It’s only right that Maguire’s teammates rally around him during the pile-on. Erik ten Hag may need to start him at the weekend if Lisandro Martinez doesn’t pass fit after missing out on Argentina’s two internationals during the break.
