Anthony Martial was spotted leaving training just five minutes after his arrival this morning, as per Mail Sport.
Manchester Evening News has since confirmed that the Frenchman had arrived early to Thursday’s training session, which is due to take place later today.
Manchester United return to Premier League action this Saturday when they welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to Old Trafford following a two-week-long international break. Martial did not represent his country, France, for their Euro 2024 qualifiers – so had the chance to rest.
Martial’s return from injury
The 27-year-old made his first appearance of the campaign with a five-minute cameo against Tottenham Hotspur on August 19, before being deemed fit enough to make the starting line-up vs. Nottingham Forest the following week.
He then played for 67 minutes during United’s trip to the Emirates on September 3 and was replaced by Rasmus Hojlund to mark his club debut. The young Dane is expected to make his first-ever start at the weekend, which would see Martial drop to the bench.
