Jadon Sancho is set for an interesting week at Manchester United after taking to social media to respond to the manager’s comments about his absence from the squad against Arsenal.
According to The Telegraph, Sancho will have showdown talks with Erik ten Hag today.
United have yet to make a decision on what to do with Sancho, so it remains to be seen whether Sancho will be disciplined.
Considering he has completely disrespected Ten Hag and brought more negativity on the club, a form of discipline should be applied because it would be weak for to see a manager let underperforming players off the hook.
That would only set a dangerous precedent for the future – regardless of the player’s status in the squad.
Hopefully, Sancho listens to Ten Hag, but I wouldn’t hold my breathe since his ill-advised statement remains pinned on his official Twitter account. It looks like he is standing by what he said about being a scapegoat.
