Champions League club mull over January move for Jadon Sancho following public feud with Erik ten Hag

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly eyeing a reunion with Jadon Sancho following his recent fallout with Erik ten Hag, as per the Daily Mail.

The Manchester United manager had omitted Sancho from his matchday squad to face Arsenal last weekend despite the player holding no injuries or suspensions.

When questioned on the decision post-match, Ten Hag explained: “On his performance in training we didn’t select him. You have to reach the level every day at Manchester United. You can make choices in the front line, so in this game, he wasn’t selected.”

Sancho then took it upon himself to defend his name with a written statement shared on social media, rebutting his manager’s claims entirely.

Now, supporters have been left pondering the winger’s place in the squad when club football returns next week; Ten Hag won’t have taken Sancho’s response well at all, but the two may hold clear-the-air talks to resolve the tension ahead of a crucial run of fixtures.

If they don’t, and Sancho continues to be dropped from matches, his former club could offer an exit route when the winter transfer window opens.

Sancho, 23, has struggled to ever replicate the scintillating form he displayed in Germany so may see the prospect of returning to Dortmund as a chance to revitalise his career.

The Sun states that the Bundesliga outfit are keen on bringing the Englishman back to the Signal Iduna Park if United make him available in January.
