Christian Eriksen enjoyed a scintillating night on international duty for Denmark on Thursday in their UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier.

The midfielder started his national team’s clash against San Marino at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, with the Danes looking to boost their chances of appearing at next year’s tournament.

Fellow Manchester United teammate Rasmus Hojlund appeared in the tie but as an off-the-bench cameo, as he has only just returned to full fitness with his club.

Eriksen picked up two assists and one goal on the night, and one assist in particular has caught the eye of viewers – a no-look, backheel pass to set up Joakim Maehle and make it 2-0 in Denmark’s favour.
