(Video) Morocco manager explains reasoning behind Sofyan Amrabat’s withdrawal from internationals

It was confirmed on Friday morning that Sofyan Amrabat had withdrawn from international duty with Morocco due to injury.

The midfielder, who joined Manchester United on deadline day last week, will return to Carrington to continue working to full fitness.

Amrabat’s issue sparked grave concern among the Old Trafford faithful, given that injuries have plagued the squad since the season began; Mason Mount, Luke Shaw and Raphael Varane have all been dealt layoffs in recent weeks.

Hopefully, it’s nothing too serious and Amrabat can make his debut when United return to action soon.

Regragui on Amrabat

Atlas Lions’ coach Walid Regragui spoke on the matter in his pre-match press conference today, saying (via Arryadia TV): “Amrabat felt something and we let him go as a precaution because he has just started his new adventure with Manchester United.” – Translated by AkramPRO.
