Victor Lindelof refuses to be drawn into Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho feud

Victor Lindelof remained tight-lipped when asked about the public feud between Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho.

The back-and-forth between the manager and the player is yet to be resolved, and it comes at a time when added drama and controversy is the last thing Manchester United need right now – as there’s already enough to last a season.

Whether or not Sancho will return to the fold next week remains to be seen. Currently, the international break has meant that the disagreement has been put on pause, and it doesn’t look as though much rekindling has happened behind the scenes.

Lindelof responds to the media

It’s no surprise that the media were awaiting their first chance to quiz United players on the matter either, and Lindelof appears to be the first. He’s preparing for Euro 2024 qualifiers with his native Sweden, so won’t have appreciated the irrelevant questioning pre-match.

The defender simply responded (via Fabrizio Romano): “Many things are written about United and it will always be like that. We are a United group, I don’t think about it.”

Lindelof also touched on the summer speculation that linked him with an exit from Old Trafford.

“I love Manchester United and I still have a contract,” he said. “So I can say that my exit this summer wasn’t close at all.”
