Man released on bail after alleged headbutt on Roy Keane

A man arrested on suspicion of headbutting Manchester United legend Roy Keane has been released on bail until late September.

The 42-year-old in question is accused of assault causing actual bodily harm over a confrontation with Keane at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

It all kicked off after Arsenal’s 3-1 win over United.

A video even went went viral on social media as fellow Sky Sports pundit Micha Richards stepped in to defend Keane.

The Metropolitan Police refused to name anyone involved, but released a statement that read (via Telegraph): “Police are investigating an incident at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, September 3, during which a man was assaulted.

“On Monday, September 4, a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH).

“The man was taken into police custody before being released on bail until a date in late September.

“Inquiries are ongoing.”
